A stomp-box is a percussion instrument often used by guitar / vocalists who require some percussion to compliment their performances. Most designs place a pickup in an immobile wooden block, activated by stomping on it with your toes or the ball of your foot.

The Buzzards Field pivoting design is different to other stomp-box designs, and solves a major problem:

Our design allows you to play by 'stomping' with your heel,  whilst resting your foot on the pedal itself. It provides a fatigue-free experience, unlike other designs which cause a rapid build up of uncomfortable, cramping lactic acid.

Advantages of the Buzzards Field design:

Intuitive, cramp-free beat setting through your heel.

Loud, clear 'bang' effect from the heel action.

Traditional ball-of-the-foot playing creates a 'thump' sound.

Unusually, this instrument can be played acoustically, with plenty of volume to play without plugging in.

Passive on-board piezo pickup means no batteries required.

Placing material such as leather, cardboard, foam, cork etc produces significantly different heel-tones to suit your style.

Large footprint provides stability and resists sliding.

Can be played facing in opposite direction - providing a comfortable pivoting toe-action instead.

Laminate construction keeps production cost down - saving you money.

Standard instrument jack output.

Laminate construction, polyurethane varnish and steel hinge for durability.

Laser etched graphics - customisable on request (email buzzardsfieldukuleles@outlook.com with details).

Note: Video recorded with an echo effect applied.

Please be aware that each stomp box will operate identically, but appearance will differ slightly as a result of individual pieces of wood.
